Swiss cutting back on meat, not increasing alternatives

Two new surveys of Swiss citizens find meat on the decline, alt-meats not growing.

Swiss households are consuming less meat, according to a new survey out of University of St Gallen — but not necessarily more alt-meat.

The data show that the proportion of households that consume animal products without restrictions has fallen from around 71% in 2022 to around 64% in 2024.
